I am a licensed CPA who lives and works in Waterloo .I grew up in a small suburb of 40,000 about 45 miles northwest of the city of Chicago. I started my college at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. I went there for 2 years before transferring to the University of Northern Iowa. I graduated from UNI with both my bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting. I started working at BerganKDV (then Bergan Paulsen) in October 2013. I perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to tax, audit, and helping clients with their bookkeeping. My main area of focus is business taxation specifically in the Construction and Manufacturing industries. In addition to my work as President at CVYP, I am also the treasurer of Karsyn’s Krusaders.

I was born and raised in St. Thomas, United States of the Virgin Islands. I graduated from Clarke University in Dubuque with my bachelor's degree in Accounting. I began working at BerganKDV in January of 2016. My role as a staff accountant includes preparing taxes, working on audits, performing agreed-upon procedures, and various other tasks. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and playing and watching sports.

My wife Rachel and I both live and work in Cedar Falls. Rachel is a Household Coordinator for Western Home Communities and I started the photo business in October 2007.Our family consists of Benny our son that was born May 2015 through the miracle that is IVF and Jazmine our terrier mix daughter/pup. My educational background is an AA from Hawkeye in General Studies, a BA from UNI in Youth Services and then I continued with grad classes for a masters in Non-Profit Administration. I also received my Certified Professional Photography degree in 2009 and hope to receive my Craftsman degree in 2018 for teaching and volunteer work in photography.I am also a volunteer coach at Valley Lutheran School for their Junior High volleyball team and currently serve on the board of directors for the Janesville Riviera Rose Event Center.

I am the Regional Director for Congressman Rod Blum and work out of our Cedar Falls Office. I am a Cedar Falls native and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 2003. After graduating high school, I attended Hawkeye Community College followed by the University of Northern Iowa, where I received my BA in Political Science. Beginning in 2011 I began volunteering for the Rod Blum for Congress campaign and in 2014 I began working for Mr. Blum after he won his election for Iowa First Congressional District. On top of managing the Cedar Falls office, I also cover 7 of our 20 counties within the district doing outreach and constituent casework. I live in Cedar Falls with my wife Whitney, and am also involved with the Rotary Club of the Cedar Valley, where I serve as the Sargent in Arms.

I recently moved back to Cedar Falls with my wife Stephanie and two children, Carter and Madison. Joining CVYP has offered a great way to re-connect with the community and meet other young professionals in the area. Besides spending time with friends and family, I enjoy traveling, golfing, biking and running. I graduated from Wartburg College in 2008, then earned my Chartered Financial Consultant® designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. In addition to my work at Cedar Valley Young Professionals, I sit on the Board for Wartburg’s Planned Giving Advisory Council, as well as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

I grew up in Cedar Falls and feel like the Leslie Knope of Cedar Falls. I've been all around the world but love the Cedar Valley so much and can't dream of living anywhere else. I attended Kirkwood College for Vocal Performance and then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa where I completed my degrees in Elementary Education and Literacy Education. I am a K-5 Reading Interventionist for the Waterloo Community School District and have been teaching since 2009. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son, Houston, and 2 chihuahuas, along with family and friends. I love painting, traveling, and organizing social events. Beyond CVYP, I run and organize a couple of social events organizations within the Cedar Valley. My passion is bringing people together in fun and engaging ways. I look forward to helping bring young professionals in the Cedar Valley together and being more actively involved with CVYP.

Originally from Delhi, I grew up on a small farm an hour east of Waterloo. I attended the University of Northern Iowa where I graduated with dual majors in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. I started at the John Deere Product Engineering Center in November 2011. My responsibilities have included working with customers and improving inefficiencies and processes. I enjoy spending time on the lake and in the company of good friends and family. Volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club and with STEM initiatives around the Cedar Valley is a huge passion of mine. Being a part of the Cedar Valley Young Professionals has given me the opportunity to learn more about the Cedar Valley while meeting a lot of great people!
